Why we built it this way
Most "free" IQ tests make you invest twenty minutes, then hold your score hostage for a credit card — often with a subscription buried in the fine print. And most that do show a score hand out flattering 140s to keep you sharing. IQ Check does neither: full results free, capped at what a 35-item test can honestly measure, with the scoring model published for anyone to check.

Is the IQ test really free?
Completely. You see your full result — score, percentile, classification — the moment you finish. No email address, no account, no "pay $1.99 to unlock", no subscription. The site is supported by ads on reference pages instead.
How long does the test take?
Up to 25 minutes for 35 puzzles. Most people finish in 15–20. The timer auto-submits when it runs out, and skipped questions simply count as incorrect.
How accurate is the score?
It is a screening estimate with a typical margin of about ±7 points versus professional testing — good enough to tell you your range honestly, not good enough for clinical or admission decisions. Our methodology page documents exactly how scoring works, including its limits.
What do the scores mean?
IQ scores sit on a normal distribution: 100 is average, about 68% of people score 85–115, and 130+ is the conventional gifted range (top ~2%).
